Global Trainee Program

Our future success depends on our ability to develop not only first class specialists but also talented generalists who can see the broader picture and who understand the issues faced by the entire value chain of our various businesses. This exclusive program offers 10 places worldwide for talented young people with a proven ability to learn, who can quickly adapt to new challenges. Vacancies will be advertised in the fall/winter for program start September 2009.

Offshore Field Crew

Life onboard a seismic ship is hands-on and can be intense. You should have a technical background, a practical mindset and strong team skills. You will also need to be in good health and generally fit.

Geoscience & Engineering

Reservoir

This is the international geoscience and reservoir engineering group within PGS, with expanding offices in Maidenhead (South East England), Aberdeen and Oslo and smaller teams in Houston, KL, Perth, Singapore and other locations worldwide. We are looking for recently qualified graduates to train as future specialists in a number of areas. Processing Technology / Integrated Projects / Marine Streamer and Handling Technology / Streamer Technology / EM Technology / Depth Imaging / Verification

Program groups from within this unit assist the PGS commercial and operational units by delivering geophysically sound and innovative solutions for acquisition and processing of marine seismic data. The group develops and supports PGS proprietary technology like the modeling and survey planning software Nucleus and the high-end visualisation tool holoSeis.  Subject matter experts provide geophysical services like survey planning, feasibility studies and geophysical analysis. Project group offices are located in Houston, Oslo, London, Edinburgh, Singapore and Perth.


Onshore

Onshore business consists of all seismic acquisition operations in land, shallow water and transition zone. Onshore crews are involved world wide with the majority of the activity being in North America, Alaska, Latin America, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa. The work environment is varied and can be comprised of tropical jungle, desert, mountains, arctic, swamp/marsh as well as in and around populated areas. These combinations make for an exciting adventurous career for those willing to travel.


Data Processing

Data Processing Geophysicists should expect to be integrated into project teams which are involved in technical disciplines such as 3D Pre Stack Time processing, 3D Pre Stack Depth Imaging including Wave Equation and Reverse Time Migration, 4D, 4C, AVO/AVA processing.
