Description
A regional MC2D survey of 6770 line km was acquired in 2006. The deep water area offshore Cyprus in the Eastern Mediterranean covers more than 50 000 sq. km and offers a great variety of hydrocarbon plays; The East Cyprus Arc, the Levantine Basin, the Eratosthenes Bank (carbonate platforms and tilted fault blocks), the West Eratosthenes Basin, the Herodotus Basin, the low-stand Messinian Nile Delta and the Plio-Pleistocene Deep Nile Delta Fan.
The area is divided into 13 exploration blocks. One block was awarded to Noble Energy in the First License Round in 2007.
