Land Processing

PGS provides a complete suite of tools to process seismic data acquired by seafloor (OBC) and land crews. PGS is consequently able solve the myriad of issues affecting the quality of any land 3D seismic dataset. The following figures demonstrate some of the tools routinely used and the results that have been achieved.

Geometry Quality Control

QC is more important than ever, even in todays technologically advanced world. One of the initial tools used in processing Land and Ocean Bottom surveys is Geometry QC.   This tool is used to not only Quality Control the navigation information, but to provide updated solutions for Source and Receiver positions via integration with the seismic data.

Statics

PGS has developed a number of static solutions methods over the last few years, including a complete range of tools to analyze and solve for velocity anomalies present in the Earth.

Wavelet Shaping

Reshaping the effective source wavelet by accommodating the changes in the source wavelet and the effective receiver response is achieved with SC DECON.

Imaging of Land Data

PGS provides a pre-stack time migration algorithm which incorporates the ability to compensate for curved raypaths and VTI anisotropy (TAPSTM).

Data Quality Control

Throughout the various stages of data processing, the integration of holoSeisTM is critical to maximize the level of Quality Control by allowing rapid visualization of large volumes of data.
