Time Lapse 3D (4D) Processing
PGS practice a concurrent processing strategy tailored to meet the objective of maximizing the repeatability whist retaining the genuine 4D changes.
Key elements of this strategy include:
-
State-of-the-art technology combined with experience and expertise
-
Azimuth preserved 4D binning to select the spatially most appropriate traces from overfold when using overlap shooting
-
Regular 4DQC after every processing step
-
Visualization of 4DQC attributes making use of PGS’s proprietary visualization system holoSeisTM which is fully integrated into the Linux desktop environment

PGS is fast becoming an established provider of 4D processing services, building up a track record over the last two years. The PGS 4D processing experience includes the Valhall Life of Field Seismic (LoFS) Project, along with several streamer surveys. Our 4D processing technology can also take maximum advantage of the PGS 4D acquisition technology, which uses repeated shot position, overlap shooting, and the binning selection of similar trace pairs to maximize 4D repeatability.
