PGS acquires EM company MTEM Limited

(Jun 20, 2007) Petroleum Geo-Services ASA ('PGS') (OSE and NYSE: PGS) announced today that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire MTEM Limited ('MTEM'), a provider of electromagnetic (EM) services used to detect the presence of hydrocarbons, for a price of USD 275 million on a debt free basis. Trinidad Bowled Over By MTEM Success

(Apr 24, 2007) Rapidly-expanding oilfield technology company MTEM is to double the scope of its work with Trinidadian operating company Ten Degrees North Ltd. (TDN). The decision by TDN, which will take their spending on the survey to over $1million, represents a significant step forward for MTEM and its electromagnetic method to map oil and gas deposits.
