PGS’ ordinary shares are listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and trade on that exchange in Norwegian kroner under the symbol “PGS”. PGS’ ordinary shares have traded there since August 1992.
Risk
The Risk Amount is only relevant for Norwegian shareholders. Risk is defined as the Norwegian abbreviation for the variation in the company's retained earnings after tax during the ownership of the shareholder.
Beginning with the 2006 income year, the RISK method is abolished, and the Shareholder model is introduced. According to this model, individual shareholder’s income from shares (dividends and capital gains) is taxable as ordinary income (28 per cent flat rate) to the extent the income exceeds a basic tax-free allowance. Any unused allowance may be set off against gains on the realization of shares. The RISK amount for 2004 has been split adjusted.
