Angola Namibe Basin GeoStreamer 3D – gain the licence round advantage

PGS MultiClient Africa is close to completing acquisition of its latest MC3D GeoStreamer® dataset over the Namibe basin, Angola.

PGS will complete 11,000 sq km GeoStreamer 3D in total, over open acreage (blocks 27, 28 and 29). The 3D will give insight into a frontier area along a well proven margin. The blocks cover an area within the Namibe Basin where salt remains, thus providing a high quality seal and de-risking exploration within the area. Opportunities for hydrocarbons also exist in the post-salt, with numerous channel and fan systems also visible on PGS 2011 2D GeoStreamer® data.

Companies who pre-licence this data will have a strategic advantage in the Namibe basin license round planned for 2015/2016. With only 1,000 sq km left to shoot there is still an opportunity for early participation.
