Bringing New Life to the Viking Graben

PGS is reprocessing its Viking Graben 3D GeoStreamer datasets; four surveys acquired between 2009 and 2011 covering 11 590 sq. km.

We apply a fully 3D model-based, demultiple approach plus depth model building for TTI anisotropic depth migration incorporating PGS FWI technology. Signal-to-noise, resolution, bandwidth and structural definition are all improved.

The newly acquired PGS15002 survey covers 1 650 sq. km south of the Sleipner field. It connects the datasets GRVLIN and PGS14012 in the Ling Graben to surveys in the Viking Graben and the UK Moray Firth. In 2016 new acquisition further north will target the remainder of Sleipner West and areas to the east and west.

Our data library has over 30 000 sq. km of seamless 3D broadband seismic in this area.
