New MultiClient Opportunity Offshore the Republic of Guinea
PGS expands its footprint within the MSGBC Basin with a MultiClient 3D GeoStreamer survey offshore the Republic of Guinea measuring approximately 8 500 sq. km. Acquisition commenced in February of this year and is due to complete in the second quarter of 2019. A fast-track product will be available approximately four weeks after last shot.
Optimal design, direction and location
Titan-Class vessel, Ramform Atlas, is acquiring the survey with a tripe source technology using a spread of 12 GeoStreamers with 8km streamer length configuration. Data acquisition direction is NE-SW, perpendicular to both the present day shelf edge and the underlying regional subsurface structures, enabling optimal illumination of exploration targets.
The new survey will extend 3D imaging into the Republic of Guinea covering blocks A4 and A5 and promises to reveal a major transform zone of the successful paleo shelf-edge play that exists along the MSGBC region.
Full imaging and fast-track data
Fast-track data will be available in Q2 2019. Final processing will include full fidelity prestack time and depth migrated products, expected to be available towards the end of 2019. The full suite of products will offer both immediate and long-term value in the subsurface analysis of the region.
