MC3D BLK27 Namibe 3D GeoStreamer (In Processing)

Broadband coverage to improve pre and post salt understanding of the northern Namibe Basin, Angola
Website Map for Survey MC3D BLK27 Namibe 2021
The survey expands PGS seismic coverage in the Namibe Basin, Angola over the north of Block 27, adding 1532 sq. km of 3D broadband data. This survey extends our GeoStreamer data in the basin, enlarging the continuous dataset in the Angolan sector to over 26 000 sq. km.
Target plays have been identified in the post-salt Upper Cretaceous and Tertiary section with further potential in the presalt. Focus points for imaging are candidate salt-flank and stratigraphic trapping configurations in the post-salt, and improved structural definition in the presalt.
The use of modern processing techniques, including FWI and tomographic velocity model building, will better image this area where complex geology is present. Fast track PSDM processing is due for completion in Q2 2022 with final KPSDM available for delivery in Q3 2022.
