Namibe Basin - Namibia - 2019
NAM 2019 3D GeoStreamer (In Processing)
First MultiClient 3D GeoStreamer Offshore Namibia

The Namibe Basin exploration efforts expand 3D coverage into deeper waters. The 8 910 sq. km 3D survey covers the northern Namibian offshore blocks and brings an unprecedented perspective in water depths greater than 1 000 m.
The Upper Cretaceous plays take center stage in this part of the South Atlantic passive margin. Large eroded four way dip closures in the shallower part of the survey such as Kunene and Tapir were previously the focus of interest and are also included in the survey.
New regional broadband 3D data and FWI velocity model building will better image structures, faults and traps. Compliant AVO attributes will significantly derisk deepwater exploration in the frontier Namibe Basin.
