This 2D dataset acquired in 2006 was reprocessed in 2014 to provide improved imaging of deepwater plays. A number of well-tie lines are available, from shallow shelf to slope and deep water, giving an excellent overview of all play types.
Large-scale tilted syn-rift blocks, sand bodies draped over deeper structural blocks, and a number of Cretaceous and Tertiary fan and channel systems can be identified. Numerous discoveries have derisked the deepwater petroleum system, showing hydrocarbon maturation and a good quality reservoir.
2D data are the starting point for identifying prospective features on a regional scale.
