Côte d’Ivoire - 1994 - 2015
Added in 2021, phase 2 gives an extra 9871 sq. km of MegaSurvey 3D data over the prolific Tano Basin
The MegaSurvey contains approximately 32 000 sq. km of 3D and 11 800 line km of 2D data. Extensive MegaSurvey coverage can be used to continue exploration for analogs of existing interests, to identify new prospects and place field-scale geological understanding into a basin-wide context.
Play types confirmed by recent exploration activity in the western Ivorian basin include derisked synrift/transform structures and Late Cretaceous channel and fan systems from shallow shelf to slope and deep water.
MegaSurveys are regional scale, merged post-stack datasets. They consist of multiple surveys that have been rebinned to a common grid and then matched to produce a phase-balanced and uniformly scaled contiguous regional volume.
