Advances in processing technology and the generation of a MAZ image overwrite previous exploration efforts and provide a new insight in this West African Transform Margin exploration hot spot.
Syn-rift Aptian/Albian transitional marine sandstones within a prominent structural target and deepwater Upper Cretaceous channels and fans are key play types in this prolific region. Enhanced imaging in this new survey improves understanding of these play types for the entire surrounding region.
New N-S acquisition covers the majority of CI-706 was processed with underlying existing (re-processed) East-West acquired data. Improved imaging of the stratigraphic pinch-out traps reduce risks associated with hydrocarbon migration and trap integrity.
