As the first MultiClient broadband 3D shot offshore Ghana this 1 355 sq. km survey expands exploration efforts into the deep water of the Tano Basin. GeoStreamer technology provides a clearer image of Upper Cretaceous targets in this Transform Margin exploration hot spot.
The Upper Cretaceous play is the focus in the Tano Basin with deep marine stacked turbidite channel and fan complexes providing excellent reservoir potential in the Cenomanian, Turonian and Campanian. Down dip analogs of the Afina-1X discovery are well imaged in this new survey.
New broadband 3D data with FWI velocity model building and AVO compliant prestack data will allow explorers to significantly derisk deep water exploration in the prolific Tano Basin.
