Reprocessed regional MultiClient 2D seismic survey offshore São Tomé e Príncipe

São Tomé e Príncipe is an underexplored region offshore Western Africa. Exploration success in neighboring prolific regions of Nigeria and Gabon and surface oil seeps are evidence for a working petroleum system extending into ultra-deep water.
Both structural and stratigraphic targets relating to basement structural highs and stratigraphic and/or combination trap types are present with typical turbidite and basin floor fan reservoirs. Hydrocarbon charge is provided by Albo- Cenomanian Upper Cretaceous source rocks.
Three phases of seismic acquisition and recent reprocessing provides regional 2D dataset, allowing for regional play fairway mapping, petroleum systems modelling and identification of a number of prospective leads and trapping configurations.
