SA Transkei Basin 2014 2D GeoStreamer®

Modern 2D GeoStreamer survey across a broad regional offshore area east of South Africa
The first broadband 2D dataset over South Africa’s frontier Transkei Basin will help exploration teams unlock the hydrocarbon prospectivity in both the shallow and deeper waters.
The Transkei Basin on the eastern coast of South Africa is gaining exploration interest. However, with no exploration wells drilled in this frontier area, this GeoStreamer dataset provides geoscientists with a greater insight into the subsurface geology and prospectivity of this frontier basin.
A sparse regional 2D grid covering both the shelf and slope areas with well-tie lines over the deeper water. A more focused 2D infill survey has been acquired in 2018 and will be available in early 2019.
