Southern Niger Delta - Nigeria
NGA OPL 256 3D
Conventional MultiClient 3D data offshore Nigeria

The area is characterized by a thick Neogene section deposited in a deep water setting in the outer compressional zone of the Niger delta. The targets are shoreward-dipping toe-thrust structures within the sand/shale Agbada formation that sole out in the over pressured shale of the Akata formation.
Proven reservoir facies within the Agbada formation often visible as a large turtle-back anticlines were deposited in channel and turbidite lobe environments, with hydrocarbon bearing reservoirs tying closely to the seismic amplitudes.
The processing improved the imaging and more accurate mapping of the tectonic features of the area with additional requirement for high-resolution of the data and effective attenuation of multiples in order to improve mapping of the fault systems and deltaic packages.
