Niger Delta Basin - Nigeria - 1999
West Niger Delta 2020 Reprocessed 3D
Reprocessed MC3D over blocks OPL 248, 249, 250, 2011 and OML 140 in the Niger Delta Basin.

Reprocessing efforts focus on two main structural provinces; the outer fold and thrust belt and the transitional detachment fold zone. Enhanced imaging of targets is achieved with clearer illumination of complex structures associated with the diapiric movement of the Akata Shale Formation.
The main source rock for the prolific petroleum system in the Niger Delta are organic-rich Akata Formation marine shales which underlie unconsolidated sandstone reservoirs of the Agbada Formation. Observed trapping styles include roll-over anticlines, fault closures and subtle stratigraphic traps.
Optimized denoising algorithms and a full deghosting sequence improve data bandwidth and signal-to-noise ratio. The multiple attenuation sequence eliminates complex multiples improving the image integrity.
