The Malaysian Petroleum Management (MPM) under PETRONAS tendered for a basin scale MultiClient 3D survey offshore Sabah in early 2016. This was a step change for Malaysia to introduce the MultiClient model. The tender was awarded to JV partners PGS, TGS and WG in late 2016.
There is a proven petroleum system within the fold and thrust belt in the Miocene turbidites with many hydrocarbon discoveries to date. Carbonate and syn-rift clastic plays are being tested in the deeper waters.
GeoStreamer multi-sensor technology was deployed using a Triple Source configuration.
