First ever MultiClient 3D in Malaysia providing the next step change for exploration in SE Asia.

The Malaysian Petroleum Management (MPM) under PETRONAS tendered for a basin scale MultiClient 3D survey offshore Sabah in early 2016. This was a step change for Malaysia to introduce the MultiClient model. The tender was awarded to JV partners PGS, TGS and WG in late 2016.
There is a proven petroleum system within the fold and thrust belt in the Miocene turbidites with many hydrocarbon discoveries to date. Carbonate and syn-rift clastic plays are being tested in the deeper waters.
Multisensor technology was deployed throughout to improve understanding of the regional petroleum systems and allow AVO analysis of prospects and leads.
