South Makassar Basin 2D

The survey provides 7 138 line km of high quality seismic data over the South Makassar Basin
Website Map for Survey South Makassar Basin MC2D
The survey was designed to better understand the deep seated structural lineaments and basin architecture of the unexplored South Makassar Basin.
The data confirms the presence of a large number of structural plays, where Oligocene carbonates, as well as Eocene – Early Oligocene clastics deposited over the basement highs represent potential reservoirs. There is also a younger Oligocene-Early Miocene turbidite Play.
The survey was acquired using an 8 km streamer with recording of lines to 9 and 12 secs. The dataset has been merged to form part of the East Java Makassar Muara MegaProject.
