Tonle Sap & Kampong Som Basins - Cambodia - 2007
The Tonle Sap & Kampong Som MC2D provides 2 079 line km onshore Cambodia
The survey was acquired to better understand the geology and prospectivity of the Tonle Sap Basin, previously thought to be a Tertiary basin.
Khorat Basin has a working petroleum system with several discoveries in the Kuchinarai and Saraburi groups (Permo-Triassic, carbonates & clastics). Tonle Sap Basin has no wells but may have similar stratigraphic sequences, play types and structural configuration to the Khorat Basin.
Land acquisition with accelerated weight drop, providing for minimal environmental impact. Field work was undertaken along the survey with over 50 sites recorded.
