A dense grid of GeoStreamer seismic including regional lines, which tie to key wells and discoveries on the Sahul Syncline and Ashmore Platform, show significant Palaeozoic to recent untested play potential.
The main plays include extensional Palaeozoic rift fault blocks, with well defined Permian,Triassic and Jurassic clastic and possibly fractured carbonate reservoir targets. Others Play Types include Late Cretaceous to Early Tertiary sandstones.
Dual sensor broadband acquisition and imaging reveals the Mesozoic-Paleozoic plays along the southern margin of the Timor Trench. Beam migration has been applied to a few lines, allowing for better definition of faults, and structures beneath the decollement interface of the accretionary prism.
