The survey was acquired to better understand the basin architecture and the hydrocarbon potential offshore Magadan.
Most of the basins offshore Magadan are located within present-day large hydrocarbon generating kitchens. The seismic shows evidence of large amplitude supported structural closures with a number of direct hydrocarbon indicators (DHI) evident.
The survey, acquired with 8km streamer with recording to 8sec, provides for high quality imaging, suitable for elastic inversion prospect level detail in addition to an understanding of the regional basin development.
