The simultaneously acquired GeoStreamer and Towed Streamer EM dataset provide greater certainty and understanding of exploration targets. The survey extends from the Hammerfest Basin via Loppa High into the Bjarmeland platform tying key fields and discoveries such as Johan Castberg and Snøhvit.
This area has seen commercial oil and gas discoveries, primarily within Jurassic and Triassic reservoirs, but also contains potential in new play scenarios both younger and older. Future exploration potential is considered to be high.
PGS Towed Streamer EM technology provides dense data sampling and allows for efficient simultaneous seismic and EM acquisition.
