Norwegian Barents Sea - Norway - 2014
Modern volume in the southern Barents Sea, located in the easternmost part of the Hammerfest Basin.
This survey images structures associated with East-West trending faults as part of the Nysleppen fault complex, where faulted Jurassic section may have potential to hold further prospects.
The main proven reservoir in the region is the good quality sandstones of the Jurassic section but other reservoir potential may be located in Cretaceous wedges, deeper Triassic sandstones and Permian carbonates. The Jurassic play in the Tubåen formation is confirmed by the Bamse discovery.
