The 12 500 km survey was acquired in cooperation with the Ministry of Greece. The data covers all exploration blocks containing potential leads and formed the basis for the 2014-2015 and future offshore licensing rounds.
The petroleum system is demonstrated by the Katakolon oil discovery and discoveries in Albania and Italy. Identified traps are sub-thrusts, salt related and stratigraphic. The source rocks include Triassic evaporates and Jurassic-Cretaceous shales. Reservoirs consist of clastic and carbonate strata.
The GeoStreamer data is the ghost-free broadband solution resolving structural details in the shallow and allowing greater penetration and deeper imaging. It has allowed a confident delineation of the stratigraphy and the various play types in the dynamics of evaporites, carbonates and clastics.
