Providing 3D coverage of the Heno Platform and parts of the Gertrud and Stepn Graben, at the transition between the Central Graben and the Mid North Sea High, this survey aims to enable near-field exploration and development, primarily of Jurassic discoveries such as Bertel, Q1, Ravn.
The petroleum system is characterized by tilted fault blocks sourced by the Bryne Coal Formation and possibly by the Kimmeridgian Clay. The main reservoir units in the existing discoveries are primarily Triassic sandstones (Bunter Fm) and Upper Jurassic marine sandstones (Heno Fm).
State-of-the-art processing has provided clear improvements in signal to noise ratio to allow an optimized structural interpretation and enhanced stratigraphic imaging of the prospective Jurassic, Triassic and Permo-Carboniferous reflectors.
