East Shetland Basin - UK - 2011
ESB2011 3D GeoStreamer®
Superior fault interpretation and structural analysis

Covering the western edge of the prolific East Shetland Basin, this survey specifically targets the Hudson, Western Isles, Cladhan Middle and Upper Jurassic fields.
Main basin structural features were formed during the Late Jurassic rifting. The Basin prospectivity is dominated by the occurrence of pre rift, Triassic and Middle Jurassic sand prone reservoirs within clearly defined structural closures (e.g. Brent Group).
True broadband GeoStreamer technology has provided clearer images allowing better fault interpretation and structural analysis. The improved frequency content of the survey produces an improved lateral continuity of sedimentary bodies, allowing for good fluid discrimination during inversion.
