Covering the Mariner and Skipper fields and portion of the East Shetland Platform further west, this survey offers full 3D AVO-compliant coverage of this frontier area to facilitate future exploration; tracking Paleocene, Jurassic and Paleozoic targets.
The East Shetland Platform represents a stable area in the Northern North Sea during the major rifting phase. The main fields east of this area are within a thick Paleocene interval overlying interesting Paleozoic structures. Additionally prospectivity may exist in thin Jurassic-Cretaceous veneers.
High resolution survey designed to map the migration pathways from traditional Graben areas up onto the platform and into new frontier exploration territory. With GeoStreamer deeper imaging, Palaeozoic strata is being revealed, with the hint of deeper Devonian plays to invigorate exploration.
