Covering the Vana Sub-Basin and Utsira High in the South Viking Graben, a mature area with numerous oil discoveries, this boradband dataset targets several oil fields and discoveries including the northern half of Johan Sverdrup.
The main petroleum system is characterized by a Jurassic source rock and individual Jurassic fluvial-deltaic to shallow marine sandstones and sub-marine fans of Paleocene Eocene age. These are sealed by intra Jurassic and Paleocene/Eocene mudstones.
Improved imaging and resolution make this an excellent tool for further exploring this mature area to unlock future potential
