Superior interpretability points to new deeper potentials

Covering the middle of the West Central Graben and West Central Shelf, this survey targets the Guillemot and Gannet complexes as well as several other oil and gas discoveries (Paleogene and Upper Jurassic).
The Permo-Triassic and Late Jurassic rift phases shaped the basin's structural framework and triggered the halokinesis of a thick Zechstein interval. Discoveries (Jurassic and Paleogene reservoir) are situated on salt-cored anticlines and fault blocks. Sub-salt fault blocks are clearly visible.
The clear imaging of the Zechstein allows for superior interpretability of both salt flanks and pre-salt structural closures, which indicate new deeper potentials. The interplay between halokinesis and faulting is unraveled, resulting into a more reliable structural and play fairway analysis.
