Over 7 000 sq. km of high quality reprocessed seismic data in the Southern Gas Basin

The data covers 7 200 sq. km of high-quality regional reprocessed data across the Southern Gas Basin. With better structural imaging, improved signal to noise and pre-stack data available, this is the perfect dataset for rejuvenating this mature area.
The Southern North Sea developed through a complex history of basinal subsidence, punctuated by episodes of uplift and erosion. The prospectivity relies on the Carboniferous (reservoir and source). Deformed Zechstein salt forms the top seal to the main petroleum system and creates Triassic traps.
The MegaSurveyPlus concept aims to revitalize areas with good data coverage by reprocessing release-age and PGS data from field tapes. Using the most modern processing sequence and processing expertise, the reprocessed data shows a considerable uplift on the legacy data.
