The adjacent 2019 Torngat 3D survey images hydrocarbon plays offshore Labrador, helping to identify listric fault systems with stable AVO responses, consistent with the presence of multi-phase hydrocarbons.
Potential reservoirs are expected from Lower Cretaceous to Lower Tertiary above four potential source intervals from Cretaceous to Lower Tertiary. Seep studies indicate mature source rock.
Broadband imaging of AVO compliant GeoStreamer data is expected to help confirm additional hydrocarbon presence and drive successful exploration in the basin.
