The survey is the first 3D placed in the Chidley Basin and the first 3D to image the play fairways offshore Labrador.
The potential reservoirs are expected from Lower Cretaceous to Lower Tertiary above four potential source intervals from Cretaceous to Lower Tertiary. Seep studies indicate mature source rock.
Broadband imaging identifies all the necessary petroleum system elements contained in the underexplored Chidley Basin. GeoStreamer data with AVO compliant processing will drive successful exploration in this basin.
