2 730 km of MC2D located in the Manglares/Tumaco Basin, Colombia Pacific offshore
Website Map for Survey MCS Colombia Pacifico Production MC2D
Optimally image thick Cenozoic sedimentary sequences accumulated in this convergent margin forearc basin formed adjacent to the subduction zone over folded oceanic sediments.
Surface indications of oil and gas have been reported at numerous locations and a number of wells both onshore (12) and offshore (4) that have yielded gas shows, mainly from the Oligocene-Miocene section. The source rocks are of Cretaceous and Lower Tertiary age and are oil and gas prone.
These data maximize regional coverage and have been integrated into an available detailed structural and stratigraphic interpretation focused on hydrocarbon prospectivity.
