This survey provides a modern, comprehensive seismic address of the proximal Guyana Basin.
Potential across the basin is believed to exist in stratigraphic targets within Tertiary and Cretaceous turbidite sandstones basin floor fan systems analogous to those proven in Angola and Sierra Leone. Cenomanian-Turonian deep marine shales of the Canje Formation are considered the primary source.
