The Albacora turbidite reservoir is producing oil from Tertiary sandstones in the Miocene, Oligocene and Eocene intervals.
Besides the post-salt turbidites, the pre-salt interval (late rift/sag limestones) has become a important target in the area of the Albacora hydrocarbon field.
