Tailoring acquisition geometries makes it easier to solve imaging challenges. From single sail line to full-azimuth coverage, illumination and data quality increases with the amount and diversity of data acquired. To determine the right acquisition and imaging solution, geophysical objectives have to be balanced by project economics.
We recommend defining the challenge first, then selecting the technology and acquisition design.
The acquisition geometry may be best served with one vessel, or include simultaneous use of several vessels. A variety of source and receiver configurations are available. The flexibility of the PGS fleet and acquisition equipment means we can deliver all variants. To define the optimal solution for efficiency, coverage, and target illumination, we carry out detailed pre-survey modeling.
