NPF Digital Lunch | Use of Automation and Machine Learning in Seismic Processing

At the Norsk Petroleumsforening digital lunch, PGS and Lundin Energy Norway will provide examples on the use of automation and machine learning in seismic processing.

PGS Presents

Tony Martin, Principal Geophysicist at PGS, will introduce a scenario for including more automation is seismic processing. Using combinations of data analytics, pragmatic machine learning, and ‘hand-off’ processing, it will show how the turnaround time of seismic processing could be, under the right circumstances, significantly reduced.

Tony Martin has 25 years of industry experience working for both contractors and operators and has worked in various locations around the world. He has published on more than 40 occasions, is a member of the EAGE and SEG, an Associate Editor for Geophysics, and a co-chair of the EAGE’s first workshop on optimizing project turnaround for the seismic lifecycle.
