A recent report by Denmark’s oil and gas authority concluded that the Danish part of the North Sea holds a potential of 3 billion barrels of oil. This is almost the same amount as what has been produced the last 50 years in the Danish part of the North Sea (3,8 billion barrels).

The next Denmark licensing round, scheduled for later this year, will aim to identify new hydrocarbon potential to fulfill that ambition.
