Sequence Stratigraphy

Sequence stratigraphy is a very useful tool for interpreters of seismic and well data. By identifying and correlating different sedimentary units based on the controls on their supply, transport, and deposition characteristics, a robust depositional framework can be generated that helps to better understand the different petroleum system play elements.

The stratigraphic frameworks built by our G&G experts can provide the foundation for further interpretive work such as facies mapping, play fairway analysis, basin modeling, reservoir characterization and quantitative interpretation. The ability to examine and harmonize different sequence frameworks allows clients to compare petroleum systems, fields, and discoveries in neighboring and conjugate basins.
