Tilman Klüver Invited to join EAGE Distinguished Lecturer Program

PGS is delighted to announce that Tilman Klüver, a senior research geophysicist based in our Oslo office, has been selected to be a Distinguished Lecturer for the EAGE for 2019 and 2020.

Colin MacBeth, chairman of the EAGE Education Committee, said, "The basis of our invitation is that your paper 'Making the Transition from Discrete Shot Records to Continuous Wavefields' was well-received and considered as one of the best of the EAGE 2018 Annual Conference in Copenhagen. We believe a lecture based on this paper will be popular and attract further interest from EAGE members, Associated Societies and Local Chapters."

Traditionally, the Distinguished Lecturer Program (DLP) was organized as private face-to-face sessions but now to reach a wider audience in all parts of the world it is organized as live webinar sessions.

Details of Tilman's webinars will be posted as soon as the dates are released but you can read more about Tilman and his colleagues' recent work on eSeismic here.

eSeismic (right) provides significantly reduced values of sound pressure and sound exposure levels but yields comparable imaging results to a dual-source setup (left).
