PGS started the process of imaging seismic data in the Cloud in 2019 and ran the first commercial processing job in the Cloud in 2020. By fully utilizing the benefits of the Cloud with access to almost unlimited compute capacity and the latest technology, PGS will have a flexible and cost-efficient use of compute capacity, reducing capital expenditures and removing capacity bottlenecks.

Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence

Analysis of subsurface data using machine learning and artificial intelligence is about accelerating turnaround for PGS and external clients by automating mundane tasks. PGS Imaging team has carried out a proof-of-concept to identify patterns in historical processing flows to minimize testing and accelerate data delivery.

PGS will increasingly focus on the digital transformation process going forward to execute on the Company’s strategy more effectively.
