PGS’ new GeoStreamer PURE dataset for Browse Basin will support evaluations for the 2022 Australian license round, permitting confident correlation of prospects in the available licenses into discovered fields. Delineation of the abundant prospectivity will support infrastructure lead exploration (ILX).

The Browse Basin dataset covers the 2022 Australian offshore acreage release blocks in the Caswell sub-basin. This prolific basin is a production hub for the Ichthys field and there are numerous giant gas discoveries all within tie-back distance. Opportunities for farm-in exists, as well as new production licenses.

“PGS has 18 500 sq. km of contiguous GeoStreamer PURE data for companies interested in pursuing ILX opportunities in this basin. This is a premium product and the availability of Browse Basin GeoStreamer PURE creates a unique opportunity to pick up an asset and develop existing gas discoveries near production infrastructure, as well pursuing further nearfield exploration," says Rick Irving, VP Australia at PGS.

  • Full Integrity PSDM products are now available over AC22-2 and W22-2 blocks.
  • Multi-tcf gas discoveries in the release block with further undrilled structures.

GeoStreamer PURE represents unified 3D GeoStreamer depth products, built using the most advanced processing and imaging workflows, to create an exceptional product that supports the whole exploration cycle, from regional exploration to detailed reservoir studies.
