Stian presents the concept of acquiring seismic data without active sources. He demonstrates how he estimates the acoustic wavefield generated by a vessel from the recorded direct arrivals, and uses this wavefield for imaging the subsurface. He tests the method with different acquisition configurations, and in a variety of different geological settings. (PGS 2023)
