Yang Yang demonstrates how reflection FWI using vector reflectivity modeling recovers deep model updates from conventional streamer lengths. The method is significantly more accurate, efficient, and robust than traditional implementations that use simplistic density models or Born modeling approximations. The reduced dependence upon long offsets for deep model updates is demonstrated with multisensor streamer data from offshore Canada.
