In 2020, PGS developed and started rolling out real-time energy monitoring and performance optimization for its fleet. Through digitalization partnerships with Google and Cognite, our digitalization team implemented real-time data feeds of energy consumption, propulsion, speed, and other operational parameters from each vessel.
Advanced analytics are applied to this data and a real-time view of performance and energy efficiency with benchmarking across the PGS fleet is used to actively monitor and optimize the performance of each vessel, to reduce fuel usage and emissions to air.
